GP Vapor Honing - CZ Forks - NEW DIY Vintage Moto damping rod with Racetech Gold Valve emulators The crew at DIY just finished building up some CZ forks for team rider Sean Light. We used Our Vapor Honing service GP Vapor Honing to clean up the sliders. There is a sneak peek of the new DIY V Moto damping rod designed for use with Racetech Gold Valve emulators in one of the photos. These new rods will be available toward the end of May. The Team here at DIY Vintage Moto are proud to announce that LED Performace Engines and DIY Vintage Moto have created an alliance for the development of the CZ engines. Arlan Lehman, owner of LED Performance Engines has been developing two stroke engine technology for over 30 years and is excited to bring his knowledge and craftsmanship into the CZ world. We believe that CZ engine development has stagnated and our goal is to mix it up a bit. The photos here are just a sample of what's to come for the CZ. Development is now underway, so keep checking back with us for updates on the projects and product release dates. |

ORIGINAL PHILLIP OVELAND #170 CZ 400cc RESTORATION - follow the restoration progress!
And so it begins! The Team at DIY V Moto have started tearing down #170 machine from days past. This bike was the original bike ridden at the 1977 Pacific Northwest Challenge at Washougal by 15 year old Phil Oveland. The bike sports a CMS frame and long travel fork kit which were both state of the art for CZ's of that era. Phil was one of the last pro racers to race a CZ in both AMA Supercross and Trans AMA events. In fact he may have been the last one racing CZ's into 1978... I don't think the bike has been touched since then! Follow the rebuild here on the DIY FB page and look for the finished racer at the 2017 CZ WC. |
